The current trend over the past couple years is that the various credit card companies have started tightening their collective belts. For example, in the past you could find quite a few credit card issuers that had introductory interest rates of 0% for 15 to 18 months, now very few of them have rates that last 12 to 15 months and this is sure to get worse.

Credit card interest rates have continued to steadily climb as well. If you were fortunate to acquire a low fixed rate credit card a few yews back then you're one of the lucky ones. It's impossible to find fixed rates in the 5% - 6% range any more, most companies are offering variable rates these days and nothing close to 6%.

Credit Card Application Online Approval

There are many advantages these days that weren't available to us in the past. The internet has made it easier for the credit card companies to use an instant approval credit card application in doing so it's now possible to have your credit card application online approval in just minutes.

Another benefit is that we now have all the information right at our finger tips to compare the different credit card companies and there cards. For example, if I want I can pull up information on Capital One secured credit cards and compare it with the Discover More Card by doing this I'll find that the Discover More Card is loaded with more benefits.
